En una entrevista realizada por Rolling Stone a Ben Bridwell, integrante de Band Of Horses, dijo que la banda ya estaba preparando su nuevo disco. La banda originaria de Seattle se encuentra en un pequeño descanso antes de empezar con la gira que los llevará a festivales como Coachella y Primvera Sound. Durante este tiempo Bridwell ha escrito en el garage de su casa material para el próximo álbum.
Sobre el sucesor de Mirage Rock el frontman dijo: «Not that there was a lot of insincerity on there, but it was kind of a good-time-feeling rock’n’roll album. I tend to be leaning more towards the sincere and loud and dark and sad…I’m trying to pay attention to the words and make sure I’m telling a story here to hopefully break some people’s hearts.»
