Como parte del disco tributo a Deep Purple, Metallica hizo un cover del tema «When A Blind Man Cries». En el álbum también participan Iron Maiden, Carlos Santana, The Flaming Lips, Black Label Society, entre otros. El lanzamiento oficial será el 24 de septiembre y llevará por título Re-Machined: A Tribute to Machine Head.
