Diversos medios europeos han hablando de la reciente entrevista que sostuvo James Murphy con Zane Lowe en BBC Radio 1. En el encuentro el conductor le preguntó sobre su participación en el nuevo disco de Arcade Fire, Zane fue directa con su pregunta: «What can you tell us about what you’re doing? Can you talk about the AF record? Is that on the cards?» a lo que James contestó «No, no – that’s not something I can talk about yet. The Abercrombie & Fitch record».
Para ponerlos en contexto, hace algún tiempo James Murphy comentó que le gustaría trabajar con la banda canadiense; considerando seriamente ponerse a su servicio para producirles un disco. En 2010 en una entrevista para la BBC Radio 6 dijo «Before Neon Bible [was recorded] I went to Montreal and hung out with them. We talked about doing the record but it just didn’t work out…I took an extra year off but so did they, so when it was time to make [the new LCD Soundsystem] record, they were making theirs».
